What worries the cleaner
When do I get the money?
Directly from the client, at the rate you set.
And if I get hurt on the job?
There is no insurance through CleanLi in beta. If the work is reported to Bituach Leumi and the injury is recognised as a work accident, you may be entitled to treatment and injury benefit under Bituach Leumi's rules.
What about National Insurance and tax?
The client is your household employer and pays your wage directly. CleanLi doesn't deduct Bituach Leumi during the Beta; your employer reports it.

Why we do it properly
When you work through CleanLi, the household is your employer by law and pays you directly. CleanLi doesn't deduct Bituach Leumi during the Beta; your employer reports it. You see your gross and net pay. When work is reported, you may build entitlement to work-injury cover, maternity, unemployment, old-age and disability rights — subject to Bituach Leumi conditions.Coming soon
Why should my pay be reported properly?
Bituach Leumi contributions on reported wages build eligibility for work-injury benefits, maternity allowance, unemployment benefits, an old-age pension and disability benefits — all subject to eligibility conditions. Without reporting, work periods may not count when you need them. It is worth checking your personal area on the Bituach Leumi website that the months appear.
I slipped at a client’s home and broke a wrist — what can I get?
Salaried employees are covered by work-injury insurance. If the accident is recognised, medical treatment connected to the injury and injury allowance for days you cannot work may be available — subject to Bituach Leumi conditions. If you remain disabled, you may be assessed for a work-disability pension. The employer must report and refer for care as required — and your work must be registered. No additional insurance cover is offered through CleanLi during beta.
I am pregnant or after childbirth — is there maternity pay?
Domestic workers may be entitled to maternity allowance if they accrued a qualifying period (months of work with contributions paid) and stopped working during pregnancy — subject to Bituach Leumi conditions. The Women’s Employment Law also applies to domestic workers, including maternity leave, according to how you are employed.
Work ended or shrank — can I get unemployment?
A salaried worker who left the labour market may be entitled to unemployment benefits if the conditions are met — including residency, registration with the Employment Service and a qualifying period of reported salaried work — subject to Bituach Leumi conditions. You need to file a claim and attach employer certificates.
What about pension, old age and disability?
Reported wages count toward an old-age pension. General or work-related disability benefits may be paid according to medical condition and Bituach Leumi eligibility conditions. By law, pension contributions are also required for domestic workers. During the Beta, the pension and severance part of the price is deposited to the worker’s pension fund.

Questions that keep coming up
When does the money arrive?
The client pays you directly, at the rate you set.
Who sets the rate?
You do — gross per hour. The client sees an all-in hourly price, not the same figure.
Does CleanLi take part of the rate?
Not in beta. The app fee is 0% during beta, so you keep 100% of your gross, paid directly by the client.
What do I need to get started?
An ID, a gross hourly rate, the area you work in, and the days and hours you're free. Once the CleanLi team approves your ID, you appear in search.
Who is my employer?
The client is your household employer and pays your wage directly. CleanLi doesn't deduct Bituach Leumi during the Beta; your employer reports it.
When is a phone number shown?
The client’s number is shown only after the booking is accepted. You can chat before that — with automatic translation.
How are hours billed?
From your check-in after the client approves until the client taps End and you confirm — rounded up to 30 minutes.
What about Bituach Leumi, pension, vacation and recuperation pay?
CleanLi doesn't deduct Bituach Leumi during the Beta; your employer reports it. Pension is deducted from gross where required. 4% vacation pay is included in each visit for the first 74 days of work with the same client, and on one-off jobs. After that, you earn vacation days, and the client is charged when you take them or when the work ends. Havraa (recuperation pay) starts after a full year of regular work with the same client, counted from the first visit, with a one-time payment for the first year at month 12. Pension and severance (section 14) are deposited to your pension fund.
And if I get hurt on the job?
There is no insurance through CleanLi in beta. If the work is reported to Bituach Leumi and the injury is recognised as a work accident, you may be entitled to treatment and injury benefit under Bituach Leumi's rules.
